Jul 27th-2010-SK8 Skates & Static DEMO/Skate Jam-Last Tuesday saw the biggest skate jam in Thunder Bay History go down at the Marina Park Plaza, and it's all thanks to Sk8 SKates from Winnipeg, the T.B.S.C, and of course, us here at Static.
With heavy & light rain all day, we decided to push the demo back from the original starting time of 3pm, to 7pm when the weather was supposed to clear up. Luckily the weather reports were correct (for once), and the rain stopped around 5:30pm. By 6pm, Blaine was hard at work with the Squeegee clearing of the entire plaza to try and get everything dry by 7. Luckily everything worked out o.k. Problems with the stereo had us off to a rough start, but after a quick best trick comp was thrown together down the 9-set eveyone piled around to watch the place get destroyed. The India Festival was going on right next doors which drew a few thousand people which defiently helped bump up the number of spectators! If you missed this one, then you blew it. Nov-19-2009-Static Snowboard Video Party #3/ Beavers Birthday!-The House Was packed, and the crew was rowdier than ever for the Premier of Standard Films "Black Winter", and Brothers Factory "The Time is Now"! The 3rd Video party this winter also happened to be one of our Team Riders Birthday, Mr. Mark Marchiori! The Rowdiness level definetly had something to do with that. Happy Birthday Beaver!Marks a True Champ! He lasted all night long with no signs of giving up, Atta Boy Beaver!! Special Thanks to Rob Madill for the awesome Capita & Union Binding tees!! Also Big thanks to Spencer at Platinum Distribution for the sick Video Giveways!!The Standard Film was a Banger as Always!, and the Brothers Factory definetly stepped it up this year! If you haven't picked up a copy yet, do so, you won't be dissapointed! You might even notice a couple spots from town in there.....


Nov-5-2009-Static Snowboard Video Party 2-Last night we had another great Turnout for the 2nd video party! The house was packed for the premiere of Burtons new Video ``The B``. And to top it all off, We had our Burton Rep on hand for the Premiere and he brought a Ton of Free goodies care of Burton & Analog! Cordell himeself even administered a good ol fashioned Product Toss at the end of the Video!To add to the Radness, our friend Spencer over at Platinum distribution sent us a bunch of FREE Videos to give out!

Unfortunately we couldn`t make use of all the televisions, again, due to a handful of Old Buzzards at the Bar who refused to let me turn off the World Series. You`d think that 100+ party people wanting to watch shred videos would Trump 4 Surly Geezers! 
Most Importantly, everyone had fun(yes, even the geezers), and the Yankees won the game, like there was any doubt in the first place. See you all next time



Oct-26-2009-Static Snowboard Video Parties BLOW UP!-Last Wednesday night marked the triumphant return of the Notorious Static Snowboard Video Parties! A Party Series that Premieres the latest and greatest Snowboard videos every second Wednesday at Local Sports Bar, Pier 61.

This year started with a BANG! With Snow Flying in the air, and a house jampacked full of shreds, it couldn't of been a more perfect setting to premiere familytrees' "What a Life" ,a video shot in Whistler by Northwestern Ontarios own Ryan Kenny. As if premiering a video shot by a local wasn't good enough, Ryan was able to attend the premiere in Person!
What better way to get hyped for the season than with a House crammed full of your 150+best friends?

Here's a rundown of the evening:

First up on the platter for the night was: "What a Life" which featured tons of up and comers hailing from all over Ontario(among other places). You can download the video FREE following the Whistler Premiere in the Middle of November. Just head over to www.Familytreeland.com for updates!

Next up was Mfm & Finga On Da Trigga Productions "Hard to Earn", a video stuffed with tons of orginal street spots and unique naturally occuring gaps and street set-ups which shyed away from your typical park shesh videos running rampant in days past.

After that we switched things over to "Forum Forever" which i was super pumped on! I didn't get to watch a lot of it as things started getting a little hazy by then, but i am, and always will be a Huge Peter line fan, never dissapoints. God i can't wait for winter.

26-Aug-09-Sausage Party 6 Photos: Marina Park Plaza-The Final Sausage Party of the summer went down and we had a huge turnout for the event! Because the Current River event was rained out, we had double the amount of free product to give out, and everyone was stoked! We had a kickass Product toss in the deep end of the Pool, but unfortunately i was unaware that my Girlfriend had to leave early so we did not get pics of the mayhem. Brett Tutt

16-Aug-09-Sausage Party 5 Photos: Current River-Unfortunatley, The Sausage Party Scheduled to go down at Current River got Rained out BIG TIME! Once again, i was out of town in Toronto, so i got lucky and didn`t have to deal with the pouring rain. John Kelly was not so lucky though. Big props goes out to 4Fourteen team skater John St. James who was the only person to actually stick around even though it was pouring. Stick around and you too may find yourself with a free t-shirt like John did.

27-July-09-Sausage Party 4 Photos (Delaney)- Yeah yeah, I know what you're thinking "Where the hell are the photos from the Skate Plaza sausage Party?". Well, they're coming so chill.
Our 4th Sausage Party of the Year went down last weekend. "Party Boy" Scott Wallick actually showed up but he was super hungover and had to go home after getting sick, better luck at Current River.
The weather started out super overcast with threats of Thunder Showers all day, but it held out long enough for us to do our thing and everyone was able to skate, well almost everyone. Bill Tait showed up to hang out and ended up winning the Grand Prize, a set of Nomadic Headphones from Nixon. see you all at Current river!

13-July-09-Sausage Party 2 Photos (West Thunder)- That's right , two Sausage Parties down, 4 to go, and still no Wallick Twins sightings? They're probably at the Casino Still. Our New Team member Jeremy showed up though.Brett Tutt was also able to avoid the lure of the Casino and skate most of the day, even though his t-shirt sucked.
Darren skated like a beast as usual and wallied into the drainage ditchDan Newton came super close to this Kickflip noselide, then pulled it and filmed it a couple of times after the Sausage Party was done and the park cleared out a bit. I love this photo, it looks like Dan only has one arm This is probably the only photo of Joey Beaupre where his hair didn't blow into his facw because it was crazy windy out
